EAST MEETS WEST
Music As A Universal Language

"I really liked the performance. You guys are very good musicians. You guys were very funny also. I really like how you made cool sounds."
Ben (3rd grade, McGinn Elementary School, NJ)

Percussionist Rohin Khemani and saxophonist Max Wild introduce school children to the concept of music as a universal language. Performing on the exotic combination of Indian tabla and jazz saxophone, they introduce their instrumentsÍ respective musical languages and show how different cultures can converge in music. East Meets West is a unique interactive performance that demonstrates how music can express feelings, individuality, and give the experience of working together as a group. With a good dose of humor sure to have everyone laughing, Rohin and Max create a show that is as intelligent as it is entertaining.
