Proposal for Bullyproofing Your School District
Gain in-depth knowledge from the experts. Learn skills and strategies to create a school environment where bullying is not acceptable. The dangers of cyberbullying are discussed in great detail. LIPEN, the LI Professional Education Network offers staff development, parent workshops and student programs
(K-8th grades), designed to create a school atmosphere of zero tolerance for bullying.

Our Bully Frog program offers curriculum that is aligned to the New York State Standards in ELA. The curriculum is geared to age appropriate objectives, procedures, assessments and extensions for Grades K-8 and can be adapted to individual state standards.

Program objectives are:

* Participants learn about how to use empathy to create a climate in which bullying will not be acceptable*

* Participants learn how to engage the "silent majority" of children who are the observers of the bullying behavior*

* Participants learn about the dangers of cyberbullying and online chat rooms*

* Participants learn to distinguish between "tattling" and "telling"*

* Participants learn to promise anonymity to those who come forward*

* Participants learn to reclaim the bully as part of the group*

* Participants learn how to adopt a school-wide policy where
"No Bullying is Allowed"

The interactive program is done in classroom settings not to exceed 50 students.

Fees:
* Staff development - $400 as per teachers contract
* Parent workshop - $400 for 45 minutes
* Students - 4 sessions/day @ $1500/day
* Materials may be purchased separately
