Freedom BellsConnection programs contain an important message about our journey through history magically expressed with sparkling, musical vignettes. These programs celebrate the evolution of freedom & peace for today's children, tomorrow's leaders. ENTERTAIN your students with the outstanding diversity of the Marvelous Musical Martins, who feature a unique ensemble of voices, instruments (violin, concertina, piano) and bells ringers extraordinaire. The Martins, through animated skits, EDUCATE by addressing our liberties and ideals through knowledge of our past, understanding the present and shaping the future of our planet, creating a world of justice for all! ENGAGE your students through a pre-program mini-workshop underscoring that "Freedom is Not A Spectator Sport!".

Grade sensitive programs detail the history of bells as unique multi-cultural instruments of freedom & communication. Bells were: buried in emperors tombs 3000 years ago to ward off evil spirits; worn by chiefs as signs of authority; rung for sacred rituals and dances; used in trading as money. These musical narratives are rich with mention of national and international leaders and also point to our all important Constitution & Bill of Rights; Paul Revere; the naming of our Liberty Bell; slavery & the Underground RR; town criers, street peddlers & of course how our Rich Heritages Celebrate the Holidays!

CURRICULUM INTEGRATION: Material in the assembly & workshops tie into Music, Language, History, Geography, the Environment, and Character Development
